Card packages received recently from Rob Bessette x2, Joe Denning x2, Brandon Wax x2, Jake Elwell, Mike Mackie, Grant Rainsley, Chuck Salek, Taylor Schock, Wes Shepard, Shawn Smart, Mark Talbot, Jimi Thayer, Larry Tipton. For a complete list of my OBC “gifters” and trading partners, jump to the bottom of this page. Thanks to ALL.

TOP FIVE VINTAGE WANTS:
1. 1911 T5 Pinkerton Lew Brockett cabinet (or even PROOF of the card’s existence).
2. 1951 Topps Blue Back #12 Sam Jethroe.
3. 1967 Topps Venezuelan #120 Bart Shirley.
4. 1971 Topps #525 Ernie Banks.
5. 1975 TCMA 1924-25 Senators #32 Mule Shirley.

COLLECTING PARAMETERS:
I collect basically by COMPANY, TEAM, and PLAYERS. First, if Topps produced it, I'm interested. Base sets are most important, but all the other stuff (Embossed, Mini, Deckle Edge, etc) is very intriguing! Impossible goal, I know, but it's a lifetime hobby. Second, I collect St. Louis Browns stuff as well as Boston / Milwaukee Braves stuff. The link for some of that is at the top of the page. Third, there are a lot of individual players I collect, and you can find a basic list of those near the bottom of this page. I’m warning you, it’s long. But hey... that’s not a top priority, the set building is.

LEW BROCKETT CARDS WANTED!!!
Lew is an ancestral relative of mine who played for the New York Highlanders (Yankees) from 1907-1911. He’s number one on my top ten, and he has at least six known cards: 1909-1911 E254 Colgan's Chips... 1911 T332 Helmar Stamps... 1911 Pinkerton T5... 1912 E270 Colgan’s Red Borders... 1912 Imperial Tobacco C46... and 1913 Colgan’s Tin Tops. Anyone who has information about these or any other cards of his - it would be appreciated! My grandpa Jim Brockett is nearing 86 years old. We’ve found only a couple different cards, and would love any more, even dupes!

PLAYERS I COLLECT.
I’m an accumulator of many players. These are just the vintage-card-era guys. The UV page has players from more recent years. I collect all cards, including multiple copies, of:
A… Lew Brockett, an ancestor/relative of mine. Early 20th century player for New York. He has only a few known cards.
B… Bart, Bob, Mule and Tex Shirley, and ANY other Shirley men of ANY sport. Al and Steve were UV-era players. Do you know of any others?

I’m collecting cards (but not multiple copies) of the following players:
C… Everyone with 500+ home runs in their career: Hank Aaron, Ernie Banks, Jimmie Foxx, Reggie Jackson, Harmon Killebrew, Mickey Mantle, Eddie Mathews, Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Eddie Murray, Mel Ott, Frank Robinson, Babe Ruth, Mike Schmidt and Ted Williams.
D… Everyone with 50 home runs in a season: several of those guys above, plus George Foster, Hank Greenberg, Ralph Kiner, Roger Maris, Johnny Mize and Hack Wilson.
E… Everyone with 4 home runs in a game: Joe Adcock, Rocky Colavito, Ed Delahanty, Lou Gehrig, Gil Hodges, Chuck Klein, Bobby Lowe and Pat Seerey.
F… These three clubs, in any other league - like Josh Gibson, Katsuya Nomura and Sadaharu Oh, for instance.
G… The only two African-American Boston Braves: George Crowe and Sam “the Jet” Jethroe. These guys paved the way for… oh, I don't know… guys like Hank Aaron?
H… Players born in/around Centralia, IL (even if they didn’t make the majors): Dwight Bernard, Ray Blades, Gene Paulette, Jack Richardson, Morrie Steevens.

I call myself an accumulator, because for most of these, it’s not a priority - set building ALWAYS comes first. I’m not going to shell out big bucks to work on player collections, I’m just going to set these guys aside when I come across them, and smile a little when I see one.

All other Topps products - variations, errors, inserts, minis, etc. I won’t ever be able to put up all those wantlists, but for the most part, if I have a starter card, the set is listed. If you’ve got something Topps or Topps-related, whether it’s on this page or not, please let me know.

Other than baseball cards, I collect British coins, Lincoln cents, British stamps, Fantastic Four comic books, and a few non-sport sets. Got any you wanna trade? Got anything you’re looking for?
